what can a babywearing educator do for our family?

A certified babywearing educator can teach your family about the art and science of babywearing:  carrying your child in a wrap, sling, or other cloth carrier.

Your babywearing education might include these topics:

Who really needs babywearing?
ABC's of safety
A child's growth and development in the first two years of life
Optimal positioning for babe & for you
Choosing an excellent carrier

Babywearing education can always be tailored to meet your family's needs.

Classes or individual education sessions are always available, from introductory classes to comprehensive workshops with time for hands-on learning and practice.

what can a breastfeeding educator do for our family?

A certified breastfeeding educator is prepared to support healthy mums and babes in their breastfeeding relationships.  Education and support may be offered during pregnancy or after baby has arrived.

She can offer education to mums and families, and help with common questions and everyday challenges.  If others question your choice or ability to breastfeed, you can be confident knowing that your education is positive, evidence-based, and current.

Your family will have personal support and encouragement from someone who knows breastfeeding and has years of personal experience from breastfeeding four healthy children.
In the event of any complex or medical issues, a certified breastfeeding educator will advise mum and family to seek the expertise of an internationally board certified lactation consultant, or IBCLC.

*char is currently on the pathway to become an IBCLC, logging hours in direct breastfeeding education and support.
